UK-Familiarisation

This course has come about because of an increasing number of traffic collisions attributable to drivers who are not UK nationals, but who have come with a full EU licence from a European member state, and who therefore are not required to take any form of driver training or assessment to drive in the UK.

At Care Motoring we believe there should be a requirement to have some form of driver assessment for those setting up residence in the UK, but as this is not the case, we would like to offer our own course. This consists of a presentation to introduce clients to important features of UK driving law, the Highway Code and tips for staying safe on our roads, followed by 2 hours on-road with an Approved Driving Instructor. If you are new, or relatively new, to this country and you hold a full licence to drive from your own country, we would strongly urge you to consider this course - it could save your life, or that of someone else!

Are you an employer with a number of foreign employees entitled to drive in this country on their EU licence?  If so, under your duty of care, you need to ensure their safety so as not to compromise your business.  We can offer group sessions for such employees, to familiarise them with the rules of the road in this country and clarify any misunderstandings they may have, coupled with, at the very least, on-road assessment to identify any potentially at-risk drivers.  Do not put your business, or yourself at risk.  Contact us now to arrange a meeting to discuss your needs.
