You may already be aware that independent driving is being added to the driving test from this October and that, to allow for the necessary time for this, you will now be asked to carry out just one of the 4 reversing manoeuvres. Private Wheel Clamping to be Banned

At last! Common sense reigns and people can go about their daily lives without fear of the wheel clamper when on private land! From the nurse trying to visit her patients to the workman trying to fit a new kitchen for a client, the clamper will no longer be the stuff of their nightmares. Obviously, drivers need to use their common sense and make sure that where they choose to park is safe, legal and convenient for others, eg, that they don't block someone else's driveway or obstruct traffic by thoughtless parking.
